George Eichhorn Announces Northwest Iowa Campaign Endorsements

SIOUX CITY, IA – While campaigning in Sioux City today Republican candidate for Secretary of State, George Eichhorn is announcing new endorsements by releasing the list of Republican leaders from Northwest Iowa who have joined his team. They include:

Senator David Johnson of Osceola County, Senate Assistant Republican Leader

Senator Steve Kettering of Sac County, Senate Republican Whip

Senator Ron Wieck of Woodbury County, former Senate Republican Leader

Senator Randy Feenstra of Sioux County

Senator James Seymour of Harrison County (also Ida & Monona Counties)

Representative Dwayne Alons of Sioux County

Representative Mike May of Dickinson County


Representative Dan Huseman of Cherokee County

Representative Chuck Soderberg of Plymouth County


“These leaders know I will bring conservative leadership to the Secretary of State’s office to restore taxpayer accountability, eliminate wasteful spending, and reform policies that leave the state open to elections fraud. I will put my strong pro-business, pro-family legislative record to work for the people of Northwest Iowa and our entire state,” Eichhorn said.

George, whose last name is pronounced I-Corn, is a small business owner who served as a Republican State Legislator for three terms. He is the former Chairman of the Iowa Legislature Administrative Rules Review Committee, responsible for oversight of regulations in the Secretary of State's office, and the former Chairman of the Administration and Regulation Appropriations Subcommittee, the committee responsible for the Secretary of State's budget. Eichhorn has been married to his wife Shelly for more than 20 years.

These new endorsements come after other statewide leaders have already endorsed Eichhorn including: Campaign Co-Chair Lance Ehmcke of Sioux City, a former Iowa redistricting advisory commission member; Campaign Co-Chair and State Representative Betty De Boef of Keokuk County; Chuck Larson, former Iowa Republican Party Chairman, State Senator, Representative, and U.S. Ambassador to Latvia; Bill Salier, well known Iowa conservative leader; Phyllis Kelly, former Iowa Republican Party National Committeewoman; Bryan Sievers, former State Senator, Representative and County Republican Chairman; and Kim Schmett, former Polk County Republican Chairman and congressional candidate.
